Catch Bad Actors. Let Good Users Flow.

Online traffic isn’t just “human vs bot” anymore.

It’s AI agents, good bots, bad bots… all blending in and getting harder to detect.

That’s where hCaptcha stands out.

Traditional security methods are falling behind. hCaptcha exposes hidden threats with adaptive AI models and intent analysis, providing instant, private verification.

Don’t just take it from us, hear from one of our customers:

“Compared to last year [when using competitor], we had a 96% reduction in bot throughput.” - Top 10 Gaming Company

Virtually all companies that book a demo with hCaptcha decide to move forward.

Good morning, Scoopers!

A quick moment of respect before we get rolling: U.S. and Virginia flags are at half-staff today, Friday, May 15, for Peace Officers Memorial Day, honoring law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Let’s get into it 👇

💰 $3 Million Coming to Suffolk and Franklin

The News: Suffolk and Franklin are splitting $3 million in federal funding. Suffolk gets $2.25 million to upgrade aging water and sewer lines in historic Hall Place, while Franklin gets $629,834 for new first responder radios.

Why It Matters: Better pipes and better communication systems are the unglamorous backbone of a growing city. Not flashy, but definitely important.

👉 The Move: Nothing to do here. Just good news that local leaders are bringing tax dollars back home.

🎶 Suffolk Students Hit a Historic High Note

The News: For the first time ever, three Suffolk Public Schools elementary music programs submitted students to the All Virginia Elementary Choir, and students from all three schools were selected.

Why It Matters: This is a big milestone for Suffolk’s music programs. The division had never been represented in the statewide elementary honor choir before, and now it is showing up three schools strong.

👉 The Move: Give these young singers and their music teachers their flowers. Suffolk just hit a new note statewide.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day Closures in Suffolk

The News: Suffolk City offices will be closed Monday, May 25 for Memorial Day. Libraries, recreation centers, the Art Gallery, Parks & Rec offices, and Suffolk Transit will also be closed.

Why It Matters: Trash and recycling will still run as scheduled May 26–29. The good news? Suffolk’s four major parks will remain open, the Visitor Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Cypress Park Pool will be open from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

👉 The Move: Plan ahead. Put trash out by 7 a.m., skip the bus on Monday, and call Public Works at 757-514-7630 if you have trash collection questions.
