🎵 Suffolk Public Schools Hit All the Right Notes Again

The News: Suffolk Public Schools has been named one of the nation’s Best Communities for Music Education for the fourth straight year, recognizing programs across band, chorus, orchestra, and performance.
Why It Matters: Four years in a row isn’t luck. It’s a reflection of educators, students, and families who have made music a real priority in Suffolk schools.
👉 The Move: Next time you catch a school concert or performance, know you’re watching a nationally recognized program in action. That’s worth showing up for.
🎉 Suffolk Schools Hit Big Attendance Milestones

The News: Northern Shores Elementary and John Yeates Middle School both topped 90% attendance, coming in at 95.34% and 95.18%.
Why It Matters: Consistent attendance is one of the biggest drivers of student success, and these numbers show students, families, and staff are all showing up.
👉 The Move: Give these schools their flowers. When everyone shows up, everybody wins.
🚌 Suffolk Transit Is Getting Two New Routes

The News: Suffolk Transit is launching two new weekday routes on May 4. The Peanut Express will connect Suffolk to Windsor, while the Seaport Express will connect Suffolk to Portsmouth. All-day passes are $3 for adults, $2 for students, $1.50 for seniors, and kids under 5 ride free.
Why It Matters: After years of advocacy, the new routes give Suffolk riders better access to jobs, school, shopping, and nearby communities.
👉 The Move: If you’ve been waiting on better transit options, May 4 is the day. The new routes are rolling.
