Good morning, Scoopers!
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Suffolk Sheriff’s Office is showing its support by wearing pink ribbons on their uniforms throughout the month.
It’s a small symbol with a big message for survivors, those still fighting, and the families walking beside them: you are seen, supported, and not alone.
So if you see a little extra pink around Suffolk this month, now you know why. 🩷🎀

🚲 Suffolk Lands $2.18M for Bridge Road Multi-Use Path

The News: Suffolk has been awarded $2.18 million from VDOT for a new 4,700-foot shared-use path along Bridge Road, stretching from near Winward Lane to Harbour View Boulevard. The project also includes new pedestrian signals and crosswalk improvements.
Why It Matters: The path would give walkers, runners, and cyclists a safer way to travel through the busy Harbour View area. Suffolk is contributing another $815,000 from its Traffic Safety Fund.
👉 The Move: City Council is scheduled to vote Oct. 7 on accepting the funding. If approved, another North Suffolk transportation project moves forward.
🍗 Buffalo Wild Wings GO Opens in Harbour View

The News: Buffalo Wild Wings GO opened Oct. 3 at 5893 Harbour View Blvd. The grand opening featured a ribbon cutting, live music, free samples, prizes, and a $1,000 donation to Suffolk Fire & Rescue Station 11.
Why It Matters: Buffalo Wild Wings is back in Suffolk after its former Harbour Towne Parkway location closed following a January fire. The new GO format is built around quick pickup and delivery, with wings, sandwiches, burgers, and more.
👉 The Move: Stop by and check it out. Hours are 11 a.m.–11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.–midnight Friday and Saturday. Welcome back, BWW!
