🐰 Homestead Workshop in Suffolk

The News: A Rabbit Processing Workshop hosted by Lamp Light Farm LLC and Feathered Daisy Farm is coming to Suffolk on Saturday, April 25 at 11 a.m.

Why It Matters: The hands-on class will teach basic homesteading skills, including raising and processing meat rabbits, plus housing, nutrition, and packaging.

👉 The Move: The workshop is $30 per person, and space is limited.

🔐 Suffolk Police Push 9 P.M. Routine

The News:
Suffolk Police are encouraging residents to follow a 9 p.m. routine before heading to bed.

Why It Matters:
The checklist is meant to help prevent easy crimes of opportunity, like theft from unlocked cars, open storage areas, and unsecured property.

👉 The Move:
Before turning in, lock your vehicles and doors, bring valuables inside, remove keys from cars, grab your mail, and make sure outside lights or cameras are on.

🏊 Lifeguards Wanted for Summer

The News: No lifeguard certification? No problem. Training and certification opportunities are available for qualified candidates interested in becoming lifeguards this summer.

Why It Matters: This could be a great opportunity for someone looking for a summer job, a new skill, or a way to help keep the community safe.

🛍️ Suffolk Community Yard Sale May 2

The Retreat at Harbour Cove is hosting a community yard sale on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Shoppers can expect items from multiple households, including clothing, tools, electronics, home décor, household items, and more. It all takes place at 1103 Elaina Place in Suffolk, with a rain date of May 3.
